Noah's Blog of Totally Cool Things

New Blog!

Welcome to my new blog! I've been meaning to switch over to Bear Blog for some time, so I'm glad to finally be able to make that jump! I love hand-coding stuff like blogs and sites, but all that HTML for the blog page alone was eating away at my somewhat limited Neocities storage. Plus, writing all that raw HTML was kinda getting on my nerves. I'm hoping Bear Blog will allow me to just be able to write without that technical bump I'd have to hit every time I write a new post in terms of uploading and formatting and junk like that. I could probably just use a static-site generator, but to be honest, Bear Blog just seems cool in general!

I'm thinking about doing UIL Computer Science with some friends. I found out that'd we'd be using Java though, which is kind of a turn-off, but I think it'll still be sick regardless.

I've mostly been just working on one-off projects. I finished a zine recently titled "A List of Things I'll Never Say to You", which has a bunch of poems I've written, plus some images and journal entries. I should be able to make a test-print today after school, so we'll see how that turns out.

Another project I'm working on is a solo music project titled A Golden Edged Blade. I don't really know how else to explain it then just a Punk band with experimental elements. One thing I'm excited about is playing bass. I've always usually played guitar, so I think bass will be a nice change of pace. Granted, that's only for live shows, when it comes to recording I'm probably gonna do it all myself.

I've been wanting to work on more open-source projects, so I've kinda just been digging around GitHub and stuff, so hopefully I'll get to work on some projects like that soon.

The Void Above is still in development, but slow. I need to find some time to dedicate to just writing. Everything else seems to be done or at least easy to do quick, namely music and graphics, but it's just the writing that's taking the longest. At this rate, I'm pretty scared about how long it will take to finish the full game, but again, baby steps. I still am trying to get a demo out by the end of the year, so if I want that to be a reality, I do need to kick up the pace.
